We're inviting friends of the ministry to help us capitalize on an opportunity we weren't expecting, but we've been praying for since the beginning of the ministry: To engage and empower the youth to harvest and share stories for the local Church. 

In six years The 3:15 Project has helped over 300 people from over 100 churches in 5 cities know and share their story.  90% of the time this was done through a grassroots discipleship effort without support or knowledge of the local church.   This has only been possible through God's power, generous donations, faith, and perseverance.  The ministry has had to make the constant decision between spending time and effort raising donations in a fierce competition for charity dollars, or helping people and churches share their stories, serving when, and where God has called us.   Both choices require tremendous time, focus, and energy, and as a ministry with one full time employee who is responsible for fund development, business development, marketing, programs, and administration, something's got to change, and the time is now!

With the unexpected and wonderful opportunity to work with high school students at Wesleyan, (See video on this page) and the recent, and unexpected acquisition of no-cost, permanent classroom/studio space at The Nett Church in Atlanta (praise God!), we believe the ministry will be both viable and sustainable by turning our attention towards a mentoring and training program for youth we are calling The StoryDrive Academy.  This program, produced in partnership with businesses, schools, and churches will include evening classes, after school opportunities, workshops, and a summer camp experience.  This offers students (and adults) from all churches, schools, and community ministries a unique opportunity to learn and serve, that is at the same time in the bullseye of our core mission to help the Church harvest and share stories.

THIS IS A GAME CHANGER FOR THE MINISTRY AND THE MISSION.  Not only will this shift us from donor dependent to sponsor driven, but it will also for the first time, bring the original vision to reality of having students do the vast majority of the filming and editing in the community as we build out the Academy program.  THIS WILL TAKE US FROM LINEAR TO MULTIPLICATION immediately.  

It is essential for us to quickly deploy a best practice system to acquire and nurture community business sponsors, positioning StoryDrive Academy as a community youth program (think Boys Club Girls Club, YMCA, etc but around digital storytelling and discipleship.

WE NEED HELP TODAY TO PUSH THIS FIRST DOMINO INTO MOTION

Time is of the essence to build and deploy this system with corporate giving decisions being made this fall and year end giving right around the corner. Bringing on local sponsors is vital if we are to launch the StoryDrive Academy in January with excellence and our full focus.

This project allow us to develop community sponsorships, with increasing efficiency and effectiveness, rally the community, provide credibility in the eyes of churches and ministries, and provide financial capital to help launch and sustain local StoryDrive Academy programs. This system and project will also serve as a prototype that can be deployed as a viable way to launch new chapters.

WHAT'S THE PLAN?

  1. Design and develop sponsorship program (first 30 days)
  2. Recruit and assemble team of sponsor reps & volunteers (first 30 days)
  3. Train, deploy and manage team (first 90 days)
    1. 4 hours a day 100 outbound touches
    2. 24 calls or appointments w/ decision makers a week
    3. Generating 12 New Sponsors in Gwinnett, and 12 in Greater Atlanta
    4. Optimize and Create Training Resources and Materials

WHAT DOES SUCCESS LOOK LIKE?

  • We will have a predictable and consistent system by which to generate revenue and community engagement among businesses
  • Our director can spend much more time focusing on the core program and mission
  • WE WILL BECOME LESS RELIANT ON CHARITABLE DONATIONS!

WHAT HANGS IN THE BALANCE?

Failure to launch this sponsorship project on August 1st will delay our ability to launch the StoryDrive Nextgen program, turning away interested students and churches, and lose the momentum and interest that has been generated from summer pilot.

WHY NOW?

  • Working and meeting space has been provided for our whole team through in-kind sponsorship by Cornerstone Coworking
  • support staff has been recruited, are willing and ready to go, awaiting funding 
  • With the Inaugural season of the StoryDrive Academy program being January 2018, we must have our sponsors in place by October 31st to open registration to students and create our promotional materials.
